TV (Media) remote control

Anyone tried tv remote software yet on their V or mid model (not sure if the same infrared, assuming so though)?

I ran Total Remote on my X50v

It worked well. I was able to control my TV from about 12 Feet away. I did not try anything further away yet. Very simple to use.

Any good free remote software you'd recommend?

hey cfioravanti, just out of curiosity I checked your "my PDA" and it actually says that your pda is scheduled to be delivered on 11/16.

So, how exactly did you control your TV 12 feet away without the good little helper with you?? Just wondering if you can teach me that trick too or are you born with this talent? :approve:

So what software do you guys use to control your components? Is there anything that would allow me to control my computer's windows media player 10/winamp through wireless or BT?

There is a software called remoteamp 2 that will control your winamp and itunes software on your pocket pc through wireless. there are also a few other softwares that do a similar thing. if you do a search on pocketgear or handandgo, you will be able to find a few titles.
