Concerns about the x50v

Seems a lot of people are having issues with BT and WIFI working simultaneously. Does EVERYONE have this problem? This is kinda wierd 'cause obviously I see people posting that they are using the BT keyboard and using wifi at home to connect online. Do you people that don't have issues keep bt and wifi on continiously? I would like to be able to turn off wifi when not in use since it is a battery drainer...

Oh yeah..the other issue is...I'm not sure what I'm more excited about with my recent Dell purchase =( I bought a 2005FPW display and the x50v. I hope both toys get equal  from me.

I got the 21 inch Ultrsharp LCD for my computer and the X50v at the same time - My display arrived long before the X50 becasue I ordered the X50v early. but I can not be happier with both purchased units. Besides dealing with the terrible CS at Dell I am happy with the products.I have used both wifi and blutooth together continuously and seperate and neither. Not had any problems at all with it. ENJOY!

No problems here either...

Not meaning to offend anyone, but most of the problems I have seen seem to be more from people not understanding how wi-fi works more than anything else. Linksys, Belkin and the like dont help much when everything is wizard based to setup wireless between the pc and the router, it might work easier but no one learns anything. Sometimes reading the manuals and actually coming to understand how something works is better in the long run than using the one sheet quick start guide. That seems to be the basis of most problems I have read anyway, alot of people not understanding now wep or SID work then complaing that its broken when in fact its just not setup properly.

yeah i hope its not because something so simple. I was under the impression that the bluetooth module and the wifi module were interfering because of the same band. Oh well i'm so excited! Tuesday I should have everything!!!!

I agree with you, cuz I'm one of those people who doesn't have the best understanding of that technology. I struggled with my problem for about a week, before hard-resetting. That corrected it; problem is I have no clue why the error occurred in the first place. I made the assumption that it must be a program that uses my wi-fi (or can use it).

Truely agree with you. Most problems with the PC technology are operator's error.

I've been reading about several BT issues in regards to the X50. I, too, hope it's just a case of 'operator error' because I'm looking to purchase a X50v in a few months when all the 'kinks' have been worked out. :approve:
