Well i've been using ozvga and se_vga and i love them both, you can fit so much more on the screen it's like using a laptop, it's lush :D People can't believe how clear a little pda can be.
I don't have any problems with stuff being too small, if you don't have one of these progs, what are you waiting for? :D
Hi makuu,
I tried the dll file you have attached below and it does allow me to have a bigger input screen for creating appointments but I am not able to create categories when using the modified dll. When switching back to sevga I am able to create categories.
Is this dll compatible with PI v6 ? I have attached the PIresources.dll file from PI v6 hope you are able to change it to allow bigger input screen. Thank you

Don't forget to add the path \Windows\PIResources.dll in ozVGA files folder to manage different dll in the two vga Mode. You will have to also add the path \My Documents\WebIS\Settings.txt (in ozVGA files folder) to manage the different PI GUI font size in the two vga mode (use ozVGA .53).
Tell me if it works and specify your PI version (is it 5.61 ?). If your feedback is positive then I will send the dll to Oleg, he already ask the dll but until now I only had french dll.

youve been very helpful in modifying people's PI dll file... i would suggest that we (or someone else) should setup a "download area" wherein the dll of each particular version of PI could be obtained...

Thank you very much for the help. It works perfectly fine now. Loving true vga even more now  Now if only I can play games without a soft reset that would truly be awesome :approve:
axim_wannabe
agree with you makuu has certainly tried his best to ensure we get the most out of the x50v
I've read this thread and others with great interest (great forum!).
I notice some say they are running both SE_VGA and ozVGA. Why? I thought they were just two programs doing the same (more or less).
If they are doing the same:
I have not noticed any stand points as to wich is the best program. Any input?
Thanks.
SEVGA is just straight TRUE VGA YO. No custimization involved. You just set it up and everything is clearer crisper and to some the text is insanely tiny. (its just fine for some). But enter OZVGA which does the exact same as SEVGA by default. However you can change text size, and some other tweaks. Basically OZVGA is a customizable SEVGA. That's why they are almost always talked about together...
You feelin me dawg??? :approve:

Well, it did not make it much clearer. You say "Basically OZVGA is a customizable SEVGA". Why then use SEVGA?
people use ozVGA for cutomization and use SE_VGA to change to "true VGA". This way they will save about 1MB instead of using OzVGA alone. But I believe that will need 2 soft reset everytime changing to true VGA mode...
Anyway, I stay in "ozVGA" all time since the first day I got the Axim. I dont play games now since it's pain to switch back to normal mode and my TODAY plugins would get screwed up

Because for some of us. The default settings of SEVGA are perfect. So that's all we need. I tried OZVGA and found that I didn't need all the custimization. So I just uninstalled it and continue to use SEVGA.
