Sync X50 to Two Computers

I want my work computer to be the main activesync for email, etc. Can I load activesync on my home computer also. If so, are there any special things I need to do. I don't really want to sync my home email. I don't know if this is the right forum. If it is not please lead me to the correct one. Thanks

PPCs can sync with two computers (actually more with some third party software) but it's good that you only want to sync email with one because that is the limit for that function.

It would be best for you to create the partnership with the work computer first. When it asks if you want it to be the 'only' PC, say yes. That will give it the email function. Then, set up the partnership on your home computer. Unless you want to assign categories (which someone else will need to describe if you do since I do not use them), all your contacts, calendar items, favorites, etc. will be merged between the two computers and Axim. You can set up the partnerships to include particular items in one, both, or neither syncs.

Thanks a million, IkeHiker. I already established the partnership with my work computer. I don't remember if I chose "only PC" or not. My questions are being answered one by one. I'm learning.

If your email is syncing at work, then it shouldn't matter. I just had a memory that the email wouldn't sync unless you selected it as the 'only' choice on the first one.

MS active sync for 2 pcs gets buggie if you try to sync email and calendar to two pcs. talked to MS about this and they said that a few small percent of users sync to 2 pcs so they dont focus on it :(

if you dont sync the calendar and email on your home pc you will have a better experience IMO.

everything else syncs fine and you can install on both computers software on your PDA
