QUICK question QUICK answer

I did a search but there are so many threads that at then end you get confused with all the info; so my questions is

How fast can the X50V read data from CF slot?

I want to get a 2GB CF card (for 768kbps movies) and the cheapest one is Sandisk (blue one) but it doesn't say how fast it is.
I don't want to spend extra money in FAST CF cards if the PDA won't take advantage of. I don't mind waiting a little longer to transfer files with my reader card. So my main objective is the reading speed of the PDA vs the speed of the 2GB Sandisk (normal blue).
Thank you guys for your thoughts.
PD: I should get my PDA today!!!!!

The standard one is 8x wich is 8x150 1200KB/sec wich is more then enough for movies.

The Axim can't read and transfer data very fast, it took about 2 minutes to transfer a 5MB MP3 file from SD to CF for me.

I too remember the speed test on www.pocketpcthought.com but I can't actually find it.

You can look at the Sandisk website for the data speed of their cards (SD and CF). You can also do the same for Lexar. I suspect you will find that most cards start at a data rate of 1.5Mb/s and go up to more than 12Mb/s for the really expensive ones.

Here's my opinion but it is not based on testing of any kind. The speed differences relate to the write speed. That is how fast the data goes to the card. The read speed is what you'd want increased for Pocket PC's.

I got a good deal on a 40x Lexar 1GB. I think it was about $60 after rebates. You can't beat fast, huge and cheap.
