Might be decision time today X50v?
I've been seriously looking at the X30H for a couple of months, watching deals and coupons, hoping to get one shipped, and taxed in TX for under $300.
Today, with Dell discounts and coupons I'm really tempted to consider shelling out $114 more for an X50v. Is an X50v the ultimate? Is it as "stable" as what I've read for the X30H?
From a cold start, how long does it take to power-up?
Thanks so much for all past advice and any current advice.
Mike
P.S. I'm a new PPC user, still using a PalmIII.

Thanks for the comments.
Any comment on the power-up time?
Say you're in a meeting and want to check your outlook schedule for the next day. Base software from Dell, not wifi, just PPC.
Thanks

power up time? I guess you've never had a pocketpc before.. they are instant on devices, and if you map your schedule app to a button it takes less than a second to see your schedule from a cold start..

OK, thanks. I just didn't want to be disappointed in a most basic thing such as power-up.
Still gotta decide today if I want to shell out over $100 more for an X50v versus an X30H. I'm going to try to see one at the mall kiosk.

With today's deal you can get a X30H for just $261 while the X50V costs $424 and the difference is $163.
By paying this additional $163 what you get in X50V is VGA functionality, 2700G multimedia accelerator great for games/movies in the future, additional CF slot, addtional 64MB ROM and a sleek design (at least IMHO). Now you have to decide whether you need any of these additonal features that is being offered in X50V and whether they are worth an extra $163 (as of today).
My personal opinion is that if you don't need VGA and the additional CF slot, then X30H is the best value-for-money PPC that is out there in the market right now. It is the PPC that gives you the most bang-for-your-buck.

If all I want to do games-wise is emu P***mon and Yu-**-*h, do I need the 2700G accelerator?
(Yes, I'm an adult who likes anime games... :P)

You don't really NEED the 2700... YET... but I'm sure it'll come in HANDY in the near future... plus you get VGA screen, and the difference is AMAZING... without mentioning a faster processor etc...
I'd go for the X50v!
