Landscape Mode

My friend just got a new HP and with a touch of a button he can go from Potrait mode to Landscape mode. I don't think the X50V does that, does it?

Yes

Windows 2003 SE Supports this, not matter what PDA it's on. It's a feature by default.

Try this:

Start -> Settings - Click on the System Tab and tap on the "Screen" icon.

The 1st page that pops up should give you 3 options:
1) Portrait
2) Landscape (right-handed)
3) Landscape (left-handed)
Select 2 or 3 then click on "ok" @ top right.

Let us know how you got on.

G'luck

Darren.

Assigning the screen rotation function to a button

Hello A-lady! Here are the steps to getting the screen rotation function assigned to a button. For this example, you're going to assign the function to the rightmost button on the front of your Dell:

1. Tap the "Start" menu and then tap on the "Settings" icon.
2. Tap on the "Buttons" icon.
3. You should see a table with Buttons 1 through 6 listed on it. Tap on the word "Button 4".
4. Tap on the pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen which is labeled, "Assign a program:"
5. Scroll up the pop-up menu to the item that says "" and tap on it.

Congratulations! You've now assigned the "Rotate Screen" function to the rightmost button on the front of your Dell. Try it and make sure it works...

This same sequence of steps is used to assign programs, or other functions to any of the buttons on your device.

Good luck and have fun! :D

Should be the same as the x30:

Start > Settings > Buttons > choose the button you want to map it to and under "Assign a Program" scroll down and find

Then all you have to do is press that button to rotate the screen. Or you can do it the way DarrenM stated, which is a little slower but u get the same effect.

Use Tmann's instructions to switch to landscape and back again on the fly.

Perhaps it was the Battery Pro? I'll reload journal Bar and see what happens So without a seconday Batter ap there is no way to see your Battery level on your Today screen?

There is a battery icon on Wisbar and it will show memory and battery stats when tapped.
