Question Syncing 2 PDAs on Same PC

I already have Active-Sync 3.71 loaded on my PC for my Axim X5. Do I still have to load the companion CD I received with my X50v to be able to sync the X50v with that PC? (both PDAs on same PC)
Any suggestions will be helpful. Don't want to screw this up before I even get a chance to use it.
Thanks

But you can only sync the Inbox with one of the PCs (unless they changed that recently).

Is it going to cause any problems if I do install the new companion CD I got with the X50v? Will it do anything with the X5 syncing correctly?
Thanks

I have access to 2 laptops. One synced with my old X5. I added the X50v to that and installed the software on the 2nd laptop. It works very slowly on the X5 laptop and quicker on 2nd laptop. I might reinstall it on the first laptop to see if there is an improvement.
I don't know if this helps you or not.

I have on laptop and two different Axims synced to it. I sync one. Then I sync the other. It keeps my contacts, notes, tasks, and calendar up to date on both of them.

When you synced your second PDA did you install the new Companion CD you got with the 2nd PDA? Did it do anything to your other PDA? Thanks

Try using Intellisync....you can synch to multiple machines and select what actually gets synched using filters. They offer a trial verson so you can see if it does what you want it to.

What programs are you wanting to install from the companion CD?

If you have the latest version of Activesync you dont need to reinstall it. The only thing you will need to configure is if you want to keep each PDA's info separate. Then you will need to add a second Outlook account--one for each PDA. But again, that's only if you want to keep each separate.
