Program removal and or uninstall, how to?

How do we get rid of the built in programs?
File explorer, I use resco
Messaging
MSN messenter
Pictures, I use resco
pocket MSN
Switcher bar
System information
Odyssey client.

You cannot uninstall programs that came with your Axim since they are located in the ROM.

this was discussed in another forum and it was agreed, as Gigi stated, that this is not possible...unless you flash the ROM with an image file that does not contain those programs, which I've never heard anyone mention exists. Even if you did manage to remove them (which you cant), it probably would only free up the built in memory (search the forum for more information on this).

if it helps...I create a subfolder on the StartMenu (actually Start Menu, Programs, Ssystem, Unused) and shove all the unused app icons down there. They are still installed in ROM, but at least I don't have to look at all the icons. :)

I thought about deleting Avant-go the other day and the help screen said I needed to do a hard reset. What gives?

Are you sure it said hard reset and not soft reset?

Just relaying what the Advantgo instructions said. Maybe it's a misprint.
