Exclamation OzVGA SERIOUS problem

So, after 24 hours of normal introducctions with my brand new, I decide to try the real VGA thing, lets start with OzVGA i said

Ok, so I put the files into a folder called OzVGA into windows (to easy uninstall), put the exe into my SD card, and click the now darn button...

Soft reset, everything real, a lot of icons missing, anyway, i get bored quite quickly and I want to get back to normal mode

BUT I CANT, I CANT QUIT OzVGA, I CANT EXIT FROM OzVGA mode

Here is the thing, I CANT execute File Explorer, no way I can get into the EXE file to return to normal mode, or to delete the windows file.

I was thinking in installing BRESCO Explorer to see if it works, BUT I CANT EVEN SYNC with my PC, not even in the cradle.

So here I am, wondering how I do Hard reset on my x50v (if thats the only way to solve that mess) beacuse I dont know how to do it. or if any other way to solve this mess

Im done with Real VGA modes, but please HELP.

to hard reset, hold down the power button and reset button simultaniously for about 10 seconds, let them go, then on the screen it will prompt you to hit the address button to clear the memory. sorry to hear about the mess. hopefully someone here will be able to help and you wont need to hard reset...

If you've done enough search regarding the vga softwares, you should've came up with these 2 programs; se_vga and ozvga.

Also its description; ozvga happens to cause troubles/problems to "some" people. Attention on that double quote please.

Oh ok, and your point is?

I obviously never read about anyone getting stuck in real VGA mode, not with Oz nor SE.

For me, when the solution is doing a hard reset, is more than a little trouble with icons or font size or programs not looking good.

I would love to hear some ideas here on how to solve this mess w/o doing a hard reset.

Chances are you have a piece of software conflictoing woth the software. By chance do you have BetaPlayer installed with he 27700 plugin? After I instaled BetaPlayer and ran SE_VGA My system locked up on the reset causing me to hard reset.

no big deal about doing a hard reset. You will just have to install some programs again.

When you unzipped Oz into a folder you will only see four files to place in the window directory unless to select view all, then you will see about eight files to transfer. Make a note of them and moved them. The Ox ex file can be place in your program folder. I've been using Oz on all its default settings without any dificultis.

Yeah, I do the installation, even in their own folder (for easy uninstalling)

The thing is, can you open flie explorer? If I have to do it again (which i wont) is obvious putting the file in some place where I can access it w/o the file explorer

Oh well I just have it since yesterday anyway, I think I will try the Hard reset

A question.. I should install again the programs I installed over my SD Card?

Always do a full Backup before installing untested programs. If you made a backup simply restore to any time BEFORE you installed ozVGA.

Then delete the partnership with Active Sync and redo the partnership.

If you didn't make a backup and can't delete the oz file I don't see any other alternative but to Hard Reset. It's not that big of a deal since you just received your Axim. And YES you will have to reinstall all the programs on the SD card or install over the existing one. It only takes a few minutes.

Good luck and do Backups!

I name my backups just before any major program install so I can have as many options as possible .Good luck and do try again, Oz is great for surfing.
