Otherwise wouldn't the Seidio Car Mount cradle output sound without having to connect to the headphone jack? Or does it do this without the cable? Their pictures are a little misleading.

Has there been any progress on the pinout over the weekend?

I have found on the Haicom website a diagram showing what pins go to where on the GPS PS/2 cable coming from the receiver , SO I know that end, just need to know where to solder them to on the x50v connector!

Haicom Diagrams

It's only 4 pins to solder! This would be cake if only we knew what pins were RX and what pins ere TX.

from what we currently know about the VGA cable :

Code:
i got this information from NickM_ (thanks!). it can be obtained from any official VGA cable, i don't see any reason why not to make it public.

Pins 30,32,34,36 all seem to be ground. So Pin 1 from the gps PS/2 can go to any of these.

Pin 2 on GPS PS/2 is VCC (i'm guessing to charge the unit via PS/2?)

We need which pins on axim connector are TX, RX, and VCC.

If anyone has ANY further info or corrections on what we have so far PLEASE post or PM me if afraid to post it!

This pin out is not tested (first of all odd and even pins order).
X50V uses TTL serial interface (3.3 v).

DTR 14
DSR 13
TX 11
RX 10
RTS 9
CTS 8

Those are numbered how? Based on what schematic of the pins?

This one?

Code:
             back of x50v
  ______----________________________----______
1 17 19 35
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
2 18 20 36
  -------------------_____--------------------
             front of x50v
