I really want to try xstreamxm badly/ have waited for something this sweet for months but i really don't like the idea of just handing over my user and pass... i'm not saying this guy is a scam, on the contrary he's extremely adept and skilled programmer who havs helped out probably thousands... no one can deny these times we live in where perception and reality are rarely found together on the internet...
Actually.. Xm radio is free to listen online now (on your pc).. you just have to already be signed up with an xm radio.. and they do not have to pay for premium programs anymore (except the playboy channel).. but to me.. that is no huge loss! My friends have all gotten Sirius and have had to return several receivers because they cannot get any connections to listen to their radio inside office buildings. My XM radio works perfect inside and I rarely have problems with getting a connection. XM has more diverse channels than Sirius.. Sirius does have more Spanish channels.. so if you are into that.. go with Sirius.. However, XM is better than Sirius.. unless you love Howard Stern.. then well go with Sirius..
I have sirius. LOVE IT. listen in the car, at home and at work from my pc. I never thought about trying it out on the PPC. I will be checking that out when I get home tonight.
Well, sure enough. I just tried out the xstreamxm webpage, and it works flawlessly. I just wish they would put the talk radio pages online as well...I mainly use XM to hear the talk radio and news when traveling on my motorcycle.
could you perhaps offer a bit more detailed information? I'm not sure I even understand what you're saying, and I'm certainly interested to learn how to recieve XM Radio (rather, SIRIUS) on my X50v.
Incidentally, there are programs and Registry tweaks that allow you to pass off PocketIE as version 6. I get iframes in my browser no problem.
Just thought I'd share this. Got this to work tonight through my WiFi connection. Going to try it next through a Bluetooth connection to my Sony Ericsson T610 using GPRS.
Hope the link works. It uses Media Player instead of PIE. Gotta do a little editing with MS Word but it wasn't hard at all. I'll be posting this on the Multimedia Forum later if it works good.
So you tried what I suggested? WiFi or GPRS? Tried it over my cell phone and got it to work all of 15 seconds or so. Think it might have been a bad GPRS connection (although I was showing good signal strength on my phone) because it took forever to load a couple of web pages I normally surf. Will try again tomorrow while running around and see how it goes.
