Does anyone know of any plug-ins or hacks to make xm radio online work on you pocket pc? The regular xm radio online I beleive runs through your windows media player. I have not tried, but I do get streaming with Sirius radio by logging in through IE to the sirius site, so basic thought would say it would do the same through Wifi on the X50v. If anyone else has tried, let us know how it worked.

Are you smoking crack? How is sirius better than XM? XM is cheaper, has so many more products available, including the new portable MyFi which is capable of recording up to 5 hours of music (functions like a Tivo), better reception (thanks to towers on the ground that can re-transmit the signal through tunnels and stuff), and most of all has satellites with cool names.

And dont tell me sirius is better because Howard Stern is coming...sirius doesnt even have the money to pay him...they are in debt up to their eyeballs and it will take 1 million more subscribers and 5 years to break even with that deal...good luck with that sirius. Guess next time I hear about you is when you declare Chapter 11.

To make life easy, if for no other reason Sirius has a better selection of stations & playlists.

I'll second that notion. It is all about personal taste. I PERSONALLY like Sirius better. It is worth the extra couple of bucks for me.

The problem is PIE does not support iframes which is required in order to listen to XM Radio through a browser. I've tried NetFront and Thunderhawk (the latter which made the most progress...got the screen to open with no error messages but nothing else happened)

I forgot about the Flash issue...didnt realize you need that (I didnt read the whole first post thoroughly). I dont have it on right now so that may be the issue.

Can someone who has Macromedia Flash installed on their PPC also install the Thunderhawk browser (that gave the best results) and see if XM will run then? I would do it except I'm going to be away this weekend. If no one does, I'll try when I return Sunday evening.

Has anyone gotten this to work.

Has anyone gotten Xmradio online to work??

It appears the new browser from Mozilla may do the trick but it has not been released yet.

Thanks in advance.

Try this link: http://pocketpctools.com/modules.php...icle&sid2=1553 It doesn't have any trial so be cautious before purchasing as the price ain't cheap. Good luck! :approve:

Sirius is better because you don't have to pay for premium programming(which is included) and it has MUCH BETTER reception(3 sattelites to XM's two...towers only work if you're int he line of sight. The MyFi is horribly overpriced and a bit bulky too...Sirius has plenty of products. Both companies are in debt and it's a wonder either stay in business. As for the Stern thing if he brings 10-15% of his audience with him they'll make a ton of money...more importantly it's the new head of Sirius that will make things go(the former head of Viacom). Hell they even talked about merging recently so kinda makes the whole point moot.

I would also like to point out that xm is not cheaper if you stream radio over internet. With XM it costs an extra $3.99 a month to stream, Sirius is included in price.

Sat radio with internet stream costs $13.98 a month with XM and costs $12.95 a month with Sirius.
