Slip Case Question and Screen Question

Slip Case Question
I have read many threads on the reports of the slip case causing screen problems. Do any of you use the slip case with out any problems? I currently leave my wallet (or other wide objects) inside the slip case in hopes of stretching it out. It works but I'm afraid it is going to tighten up again (which I think it does).

Screen Question
When listening to music, is there a way to actually turn off the screen to save power. Or is the closest thing to it, dimming (which happens after 15 seconds on default settings)?

Thank you!

well to answer your first question get rid of that slip case cover and get aftermarket case, I personally use a rhinoskin (its a bit bulky but i dont worry about my screen), I believe the screen problems some people are having is that objects bending the slip cover into the screen when its in your pocket.

when playing music, I think it depends on the software player you use, the system first dims the screen then totally turns the screen off, I use pocket player from conduits. Im not sure if this works on the WMP10 the same way never used it.

I'm using the slip cover, that comes with the x50v w/extended battery,
without any problems. I am waiting for the cases that do support the
extended battery before I buy one.

I do have the rhinoskin case and being not extremely happy with it, although it is a descent case, I ordered a Sena (which the X50v will stay in). For the time being, I would like to use the Slip Case, but as I've seen in previous threads, some say it's fine, others say don't use it.
