Is there supposed to be a rectangle of garbage above the slider?

I find it useful to lighten the contrast for viewing at low angles (near the buttons) when the device is laying on a table in front of me.

(Cool find!)

The slider does absolutely nothing on my x51v (A04). I open the window and move the slider, but nothing happens when I move it between light and dark. It also resets to light each time I open the panel.

The rectangle is actually 4 tone boxes, white/l.grey/d.grey/black.

For some reason, they are not garbled on my device if I open the setting in landscape mode. You can even switch back to portrait with it open and it's fine.

So if you'd like to see them, have a look at it in landscape mode.

On what device did you find this? I tried on my X51v (ROM version A06) and no such applet shows up.

got it. you have to start up tweak and make sure you uncheck the contrast box then re-check it and then soft reset.

:)

Help - Editing the Registry

Hi,

This looks quite useful. How do I get into the registry on the Axim though ?? ( Is there a Pocket PC version of regedit ? )

Help would be appreciated.

Paul.

I peered around for a hidden mixer applet too, but there doesn't seem to be one.

Thats a great find! I am going skiing in vermont and will be in the car for about 5 hours tomorrow. Since i wasnt able to get sienfeld on my axim (fairuse only copied the 1st episode) i decided i might as well read "Great expectations" for school during the ride.

Paul.

There are a couple of programs that let you edit the registry on the Axim. I use Resco File Explorer. Does a decent job when its needed.
