Holy Weatherpanel!

Is anyone else using WeatherPanel on their X50v? I was examining where my space was and this (using animated) was taking up 5Mb!!!! Holy craptoast. Are there any REALLY smaller weather programs?

How much space is your weather program taking up?

Mine says 1.1 MB and I have a second set of icons (Juni's SWDeluxe) there. I have an X3i (so, obviously not VGA), but that seems awfully large for WP.

I also use PocketWeather. On my SD card, PW's file says 2.2MB, but I have 5 sets of icons stored there, too.

Both are excellent programs, but if you're concened about size, WP lets you install it to a SD card to save space. (Some .dlls will be stored in Main Memory automatically, but the rest of the program and any icon sets can be kept on a storage card--or built-in storage to that matter.)

PocketWeather can also be installed onto SD card, CF card, built-in or main memory.

The maker of Pocketweather (TodayWeather) didn't do PocketBreeze nor PocketContact!

Don't plugins need to be in Main?

Can anyone confirm?

Yes that is true - the install of PocketWeather does install the ~90K today screen DLL into main memory, but the remaining support files can be installed in any memory. If the memory is unavailable (i.e. SD card removed), it continues as best it can...but without crashing/hanging.
