Yea, WMP10 Mobile doesnt play mpgs. Get a program like PocketTV to play mpeg videos.

WMP for the PPC will only play video files in the wmv format. You can download Windows Media Encoder to change over any of your mpeg files. It even has a setting for encoding to PPCs to make it quite easy.

Not for encoding to wmv. Microsoft has the lock and key on that format.

For small videos I use that since it is quick and easy.

But, when it comes to encoding to movies I use Pocket Divx Encoder. It is a little faster and I prefer te quality of Divx.

Stay FAR AWAY from that program.

Go with BetaPlayer, a free alternative that TROUNCES that stagnant, outdated previously named in that upper post. Not to mention, (PTV's) resorts to disgustingly low tactics.

Someone has some strong feelings on the matter.

Here's a link to the WMP10 for Pocket PC FAQ's. But what it boils down to is you can only play files with the extensions .asf, .wma, .wmv, and .mp3.

I have PocketTV and Betaplayer (use mostly betaplayer). After reading all that crap coming from PocketTV's mouth and the fact that they are just a bunch of whining losers that cant compete, I just uninstalled it and will never let that program touch my x30 again.

LONG LIVE BETAPLAYER!!!

Betaplayer is the way to go. It plays everything that I have thrown at it.
