Newbie with Start Menu question

I just "upgraded" after years of using an old Palm IIIx. Terrific tool, but this is irritating: In Menu settings I select the six programs I want to show in Start Menu, and they do show along with six other programs listed below them in another box before the listings for Programs and Settings. This happens in portrait mode but not in landscape mode. I have shut the unit off and then on and have done a soft reset but to no avail. Is this normal? Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks!

The other programs are recently used programs and they should be on the top in landscape mode as icons.

The first 6 programs are the apps you chose to show. The second 6 are the MRU (most recently used) programs.
When you switch to landcape mode, the MRU list changes to a single row of icons at the top of the start menu, to use the screen space efficiently.

Thanks

Assume you can't remove the most recently used from the start menu. Thanks again.

I've seen the question asked here before, but never read the threads because it's not something that concerns me. Try using the "Search" menu and enter "clear recent*" as the search string. Search is the most powerful tool in the Aximsite toolbox - so far, EVERY question I've ever thought about posting here has been discussed before (MANY times)...
