Can't browse internet via bluetooth

Hi guys..

I am new to Axim X50v. I managed to connect my PPC to the PC via bluetooth for internet, however, when I open Internet Explorer, the webpages doesn't come out. Do I need to configure my IE before I can browse?

I tried my wireless connection for internet at a open cafe, it WORKS.

Wonder why? Any wisdom willing to share?

Have you enabled connection sharing on your active internet connection?

You need to hae a dataplan if your planning on doing any serious browsing via bluetooth. I've never tried a dial-up number on any of my devices but from reading around I hear it's mighty slow maybe 9kbit if you're lucky. Good enough for e-mail but not Web browsing. Which Cellphone provider are you using?

Bobby, I think he's maybe connecting to his PC via bluetooth, and using its connection to surf the net. I could be wrong... basically I think he's using it like wifi at home, but he's using bluetooth instead. Perhaps we need clarification before we can go any further...

Through BT to the PC you can tunnel the traffic through Activesync - or you can share your network adaptor in the BT profile on the PC and enable Internet Sharing through that.

Which one are you trying to do?
