how do I format the ROM?

Title says it all. I want to start fresh and hard reset my axim x50v and erase everything, even on the Built-in storage. But whenever I try to do that from Resco File explorer or the built in file explorer, I get a "disk is locked" kind of error message.

Everything in the BIS will stay. You will have to delete it manualy.

I would first, go into file explorer and delete everything. You might have to uninstall anything installed to that location so you don't get that same file sharing error.

Then do a hard reset.

I would do it in the opposite order, I would do a hard reset and then use file explorer and just try to delete the built-in storage folder, it'll delete everything in the folder and then tell you is can't delete the folder itself. That way you don't have to worry about any file sharing errors.
