x50v delivery: To call or not to call?

That's the question...

Hi all!
I ordered two x50v with using 25% coupons on Dec 15. 3-5 Day Delivery. One is in minimal set(+ 3d game pack), the other - with additinonal 1100 maH battery.
estimated ship date - 21 dec.
estimated delivery date - 24-28 dec.
current status - in Production.

Hmm.. I need it before 23 dec(to USA). And on dell site i saw 'Scheduled to delivery for holidays'. But now i'm not sure whether i'd recieve before Xmas.

I'd like to hear your opinion. Should i try to speed up delivery? And what will be better? To call or email? Any "good" phone numbers or emails?

I'd really aprreciate any help!

I had mixed success with e-mail. They gave me a $50 coupon but refused to expidite shipping or assure me that it would be here by the 25th. If getting it here by Christmas is your top priority, I'd probably call.

With most companies especially mail order, the "holidays" runs up through New Years. UPS doesnt do weekend delivery without an extra charge so the 3-5 working day is exactly within the 24-28th range. In my experience 99x out of 100 ups will deliver on the first day of the delivery window, but there are always exceptions.

But Dec 23, 24 are holidays in USA, aren't they? Will they deliver in holidays(24 Dec)?

The 23 and 24th arent generally concidered holidays anywhere in the US that I have lived, even the local banks are open :) the 25..well thats a different story. I had several packages delivered on the 24th last year from both the US postal service and UPS.

Yeah, they should deliver through the 24th. I also had deliveries last year on the 24th.

This year is different from last year, the 24th is actually considered a holiday by many unions and others because Christmas day falls on saturday so the holiday is credited on friday.
Just information, I haven't checked any shipping company listings of holidays.

I called today, just to check on my shipping and see if they were building the product or if it was already built. So I asked If I could change my shipping from 3-5 to 2 day shpping and he asked if they told me I would receive on christimas I said "YEP" haha or 2 days later. He said well we will up your shipping to next business day with no charge.

"OKAY".

The world christmas wasn't actually used in my conversation with the first representative when ordering my axim. But the context of hte conversation lead me to believe that my item would be received between dec.23-27. Therefore, I was able to gather for the conversation that my item could be received on christmas or two days later. HAHAHAHA

But, I didn't explain all this to the representative. JUST GIVE ME MY AXIM.

AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! Ive actually only been waiting 3 days ahaha.

Your lucky Im supposed to be getting mine the 29th which is no good since Christmas is the 25th
