headphone question...plz help

hello...i was wondering what kind of headphones can be plugged into my new x50...my standard iPod ones don't seem to go in easily and i'm afraid of forcing them......is it a standard jack???

I don't have mine yet but as far as i know its a standard 3,5 mm jack

Yes its standard, but some "stanard" headphones have some extra plastic or rubber wrapping around the upper half of upper plug contact. Such headphone plugs dont fit well into x50v.

There appears to be problems with the headphone jack's on the x50's a quick search brings up these here

Just push it in hard. The first time you plug them in you really have to force it in.
Also, make sure you Axim's volume level isn't at max, if it is you won't hear anything out of your headphones.

which is good, since with proper heaphones it's already way too loud before you cross middle :)

For standard audio use regular 3.5mm headphones work. However for microphone/headset use the axims use a non-standard 3.5mm 4 ring adaptor. So far I havent been able to find a wired headset that works properly so im about to give up and go ahead with a bluetooth headset instead....maybe that was their intention :)
