i think he meant to put a program into today screen

if you meant button to launch the programs, you can try claunch or spb pocket plus.

Sorry, I could not have been more vague. I would like to be able to add a piece of software to the today plug in list. So it would show up like Pocket Breeze, Weatherpanel, SPB, etc. ?

No, I believe plugins must be specifically developed to integrate with the Today screen . . .
