vga keyboards?

Hi everyone,

I'm really having a tough time finding vga keyboards out there, is there a way to make our original keyboard vga compatible (bigger) using different skins? I know tweaks2tweaks lets you make it skinnable but can't take advantage of it.

also, the free vga keyboard out there doesn't work.

I can't get fitality to work on true vga mode. It has half of the keyboard and the other missing!!!

help!

HappyTappingKeyboard is the only free english VGA keyboard (there's POBox for aswell, but that's Japanese). Here're pictures of how you install it.

Course there's always Goamo VGA SIP Keyboard if you don't want to go through all the trouble of trying to figure out how to install and skin HappyTappingKeyboard, but it's not free. It looks much better aswell, IMO.

Question Yippeee

Great find...Happy Tapping Keyboard installed (not for the faint of heart or linguistically challanged, but it is freeee...

Ok one little issue, can get to change the default skin...The screens shown in the installation do not match my keayboard option screen...I get only two boxes with foreign character, so don't know what each box does. Any tips...

Thanks

Not an answer for you sethig (have yet to install) but just thought I'd let you know that you can get a rough english translation for the install page at:

http://www.google.com/translate?u=ht...&hl=en&ie=UTF8

EDIT: I installed his new VGA keyboard tool and downloaded the vga skin pack. Install is by copying the cab to the pocketpc and opening it from there. Then copy the skins you want over to the pocket pc. Then go Settings (Personal) - Input - >Select VGA Keyboard and click options. The top box has a funky labeled button next to it. Click that and then browse to where you put the skin files and select the one you want to use.

Works for me. Surprisingly I can even use my fingers to type with it and it is pretty accurate.

Hi, I though that i needed a VGA keyboard as well until i realized that you can make the keys bigger through the input settings. It makes it big enough for me to work with.

There are two cab files...one with the skins and one for the type or processor. Did you install both cabs?

The goamo keyboard has added support for gestures a couple of days ago. Also is freeware on the pocket pc like freeware on the PC, where you have to worry about spyware?

They are currently beta testing a VGA version of fitaly. It looks crisp & detailed. ;) You could always wait for them to release that.

Resco isn't VGA though... or anyway the graphics look awful IMO, and it runs a bit slow too!
I tried it yesterday... NOT IMPRESSED, just like I wasn't impressed with AGENDA FUSION and POCKET PLUS!!!

Yeah, Fitaly's a great keyboard and I can't wait for the non-beta VGA version to come out (as I keep having many problems with the beta). The only problem is Fitaly's not free and costs a good $25 initially plus an extra $15 for an upgrade every 6 months later. :(

The Fitaly keyboard works fine in VGA mode. Only make sure to grab the latest version: http://www.fitaly.com/wince/fitdemo.htm (scroll down).
