Are a lot of error messages common?
I've had my X50v for about a week now and it's set at the Auto setting processor. A lot of times, when I close a program, I get an error message bar saying the program had problems closing because it was busy or froze up and then if I click OK it closes fine. Is this normal?
I'm also not so sure what to do with my X50v; I've read the "What can you do with your Axim" threads and the one on the main page but I just haven't used the device that much. Granted, I've hestitated taking it with me places because the slipcase started messing up the screen (My Rhinoskin should be here tomorrow :)). Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Nope thats not normal...if you have time list out the today plugins and applications you have loaded on there, perhaps we can help narrow down the culprit.

Same problem here. If I use Switcher Bar to close programs they say they are not responding or waiting for a response from me. However, I think that they really are closed. I say this because if i choose cancel to ignore and return to the application, Swithcer Bar loses and the application in question is in fact closed.
Interestingly, if I first tap the X in the upper right hand corner and then go to Switcher Bar and tap either close current program or close all programs, everything closes down fine with no errors.
I suspect it that under either scenario the programs are actually closing and the real problem is with Switcher Bar. I was going to call Dell but they will probably tell me it's a feature not a bug.
By the way, I have no Today Plug-ins or anything running. My unit is "stock" and I have not added anything to it. Tons of main memory available, tons of Built-in Storage. I have wracked my brains trying to figure this one out. The unit runs great otherwise.
If anybody finds a solution, please post. Thanks!!

Whew glad to hear someone else had this too. I was wondering if mine was gonna go kaput any moment.
Once switcherbar is off everything is fine on my end. Gonna look into wisbar.

Happens all the time with Switchbar. I am not worried.
My guess is since Switchbar is not made by M$, the M$ OS freaks out when a program unexpectedly closes. In other words, when a program does what it is supposed to do (i.e., shut down when done), despite M$'s best efforts to the contrary, the OS gets mad :realmad:

switcher acts kind of weird with oz_vga for some reason, at least on my x50v. Sometimes it closes programs normally sometimes they just error out...sometimes the x in the corner disappears etc. I just stopped loading switcher and went with magic button...no problems now.
