Groupwise Sync and Open Office question

Hi all,

I received my Dell X50V 2 weeks ago and I'm astonished by this little machine  . I really don't know how I managed to survive without this little thing in the past.

For all of you, who are struggeling with Groupwise syncing I have some good news: :approve:

Novell released a sync software for Groupwise which can be downloaded at http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/...onnect_gw.html

It's currently beta, but already working fine. The only pity is that you have to use GW Client 5.6.3, which is a 100 meg download.

Now I have two question for you and hope someone can help:

1. Is there any Open Office document reader available, which can open native OO documents. I receive a lot of OO documents via mail and would love to open them the same way I can read Word or Excel docs.

2. Might be I'm too stupid I installed Pocket Informant 5.6 and would like to get an audio alarm before an appointment. But I just receive a reminder, when the machine is turned on and no ring tone or anything else. Where can I change the settings?

Thanks in advance

CU

Thanks for the link for Novell-I had given up on this last August, after a number of inquiries...

I can't wait to sync at work now...

Try:

Start>Settings>Personal>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications

1. Select an event - On the drop down menu, select "Reminders"

2. Select how to be notified - Put a checkmark next to "Play Sound" and then select a sound to play!

Should do ya! :approve:

You are welcome guys.

Thanks Scylla for the tip. It's working now.

But it seems that there is no solution available for my Open Office question?

Cheers

Fred

Groupwise sucks thats for sure, thankfully we migrated to Exchange 2003. However I do know that its a horrible pain to try and get PDAs to sync with it. I remember we had to use Intellisync to get it work work somewhat well.
