how to convert wmp videos to play on x50v wmp10

I have a bunch of tutorial wmp clips that I can't seem to play on my Axim X50v. The error message I get is that I don't have the apprioriate codec installed.

1. Can I install codecs for wmp-10 on the ppc?
2. If not (which I figure) then how can I convert video to a format more palatable to wmp-10? What software should I use? Settings?

I'd recommend seeing if they can play in betaplayer. I prefer it to wmp.

I tried opening the files in beta player and beta player didn't see them eg. moviename.wmv

so... any quick n' easy conversion utilities out there that anyone can suggest?

yeah, im having the same problem....
I put the movie into Windows media maker, then hit save movie, and it converts it to play on the ppc, or anything.....yup...tell me if it works

Betaplayer will not play wmv files. You will have to play those files in the built in player WMP.

To encode an avi file to play in WMP, DL the encoder below:
