Question Installing in RAM

I just have a quick thought, and I was wondering if anyone had anything to say about it.

As a Computer Science major in college, I'm a bit baffled as to why the default installation location for programs in is RAM. It a typically computer, RAM is only used when a program is running, not to store a program. I install all of my progs in ROM, except for the ones that won't run unless installed in RAM (utilities such as Remote Display Control and BatMemTime, both from www.snapfiles.com)

Feel free to post your thoughts on this topic. :rolling:

I try to put programs in ROM if it lets me. I am going to keep all files on my SD card, I figure that way no matter what file I want to access the program should be there, and the RAM should be free to do it's job as well.

Same for me like sprite backup. If I hard reset I open the program from BIS and run the restore.
