Anyone of you able to stream the video file (*.avi,*.asf....) and audio file (mp3) as well as view the photo through network without downloaded it to the PDA?

Yes I have. You need to navigate to their location on the computer from your Axim. Then open the file you wish to view or hear. Unfortunatly File Explorer won't allow you to navigate remotely. You need either the Resco program (can't remember its name) or Total Commander. Hope this helps.

barf,
Can you help us newbies step through the process of setting this up.
I have Resco File Explorer and my Home PC (I shared my MP3 folder) is connected to my Linksys Wireless router. I get lost setting up the connection (naming everything right).
Thank You

I too am having trouble playing mp3's on my remote X5. My X30 can access my laptop throughout the house and play them but the X5, while it finds the files on the laptop, says something about libraries being missing and will not play.

Thanks for any help.

Sure

1. Make sure the computer you wan to share is connected and part of a work group..

2. Right click on the folder you keep your MP3's and video in and share the folder ( and all sub folders)

3. On the Axim install Resco File explorer on the bottom second from the right you see a little hand holding a container (thats map network drive) select map drive

4. Enter the drive info \\yourcomputername\folderyoushared

5. now that drive should be in the file explorer area.
go to that folder and click on an mp3 or avi .. and MP10 should associate the file and open...

Hope this helps get you in the right direction :approve:
