x50v inbox problem

hello,
i guess i have a serious problem about my inbox,
when i have new email it notifies me on today screen as 2 unread messages for example and i can see them in inbox but after ~30 minutes they disappear..
nothing changes if i read them or left them unread..
anybody with same problem?
or any ideas??

I don't know what your exact problem is but I'll let you know what I had that caused the same problem.

1. axim set to check email inbox every X number of minutes, or cradling and uncradling several times, it checks the email every time you make a sync connection if you let it use the pass-through internet connection

2. Axim set to download entire message when it checks the email

3. email server set to delete messages after they have been downloaded through pop

4. enough time passes so that: you get an email and it's stored on the server, then the axim checks the email and downloads the new message...causing the server to delete its copy of the message. Then the Axim gets around to checking the email another time and sees the message has been deleted from the server, so the email is deleted from the axim and it vanishes into thin air.

I had this problem using my gmail account when gmail was set to either archive or trash my message after it's downloaded through POP. I fixed the problem by telling the axim to only download the message headers and the first 30k of a message. That is usually enough to be able to read the entire message and gmail only trashes or archives the message when you download the entire message by marking it for download.

I don't know if all of this directly applies to you but maybe it can help.

had that problem too. currently using webis mail 2.1b (they have a beta release on their forums which is VGA), haven't encoutered that problem since

I fixed the problem by telling the axim to only download the message headers and the first 30k of a message.

i checked mine after your advice and saw that it is already set to only download the headers and 20k of message but the problem still continues..

i don't know what to do know, maybe i should try that webis software to get my emails..
