can't copy dll from ROM

I tried to copy coredll.dll in \windows directory to CF/SD card using resco explorer. got the error: can't copy from ROM. this file is also not visible from windows explorer on my desktop PC. is there any way to copy this dll to PC?

Can I ask why?

Even if you could copy it - it would still be in the ROM as files in the ROM can't be deleted (otherwise hard resets wouldn't work)

I'm studying ARM assembly. this library is needed for disassembling wince programs. I understand that you can't delete files from ROM. but you should be able to read from ROM, is it not?

not unless you dump the rom using third party tools, which is actually illegal since the codes in rom (dlls or whatnot) are proprietary codes.
