When I installed the Resco Axim Picture Viewer upgrade (5.32), the About screen tells me that "This is an unregistered version" and "You can use this version of Viewer for an evaluation period of 31 days. Any further use requires that you purchase a license."
Is this normal? I thought the Viewer was a free download and install?

The behavior listed there isn't exactly what I'm experiencing, but I'll give it a day or two to see if the 31 day limit starts counting backward before I freak.

I took advantage of the long weekend and installed ROM A04, so I'm still less than 1 day after re-doing this whole thing.
I did install the one from the CD and then the Dell upgrade.
I'll keep my eye on the "31 days" blurb to see if it changes. I doubt it will though, since it looks like a standard message that you only get 31 days. It doesn't appear to be an actual countdown.
I'll try to remember to post back in a month to say what happened, but if everything keeps working, I probably won't remember.
Hmmm....time to put PI to good use and remind myself to do just that!

For those of you using BetaPlayer, it's gone away. Forever. It's been renamed, and merged into The Core Pocket Media Player. 0.66 stable was released today, with some fixes from the old BetaPlayer. Yes, Picard is still the one writing it, and donations are (as always) encouraged if you like it
That's interesting - I downloaded both ZIP files OK from the author's website.
Here are his instructions:
Quote:
There is no installation or deinstallation app. You need to do it yourself, at least for now... But, on the sunny side - it's not that hard :). All you need to do is to unzip this file VgaRes.zip and put its contents to the \windows directory on your PDA. (if you're using DE, FR, IT, ES localized devices - you'll need to use VgaResDE.zip/VgaResFR.zip/VgaResIT.zip/VgaResES.zip/VgaResBR.zip (Brazilian Portuguese) file instead!)
After that you will need to unzip this file OzVGA053.zip and place OzVGA.exe file wherever you want on your PDA and make shortcut to it in programs, start menu, spb pocket plus or any other launcher that you're using.
