What a wonderful reference list for a ("soon-to-be") Axim X50v owner. This website is fantastic. Thanks to everyone for creating/supporting it. Maybe one day I'll help a "newbie in need."
I have not purchase this product, but I am interested. The reason I am here is that I have a Ipod and I am not satisfied with it. So I ahve decided when purchasing a new product I would ask the users before making my purchase. I am a college student and I need a product that could carry my calender events and much more.I would also need a keyboard attachment. Do you think that this product would fill the bill. Please reply I would be forever greatfull. Thanks Ezzy
Hi Everyone
I've looked everywhere for instructions on how to install skins in PsShutXP without success. Can someone explain how to do this to a newbie, please?

Reason: extra info
OOOSADFACE: Please make this in your list! :approve:
Collected from various posts:
Tip-1: The new Today Themes (especially VGA ones!) are getting larger...(some of them could go up to half of a MB). The tsk files are required to be located in the main memory (\My Documents folder).
You can move them to your Storage Cards: Just create a "\My Documents" folder on your CF or SD, all the files you move there will work as if they are in the main memory "\My Documents" folder.
Make sure to delete a file called ignore_my_documents from your card (if you have it) for this trick to work
Tip-2: The Odyssee Client occupies about 2MB of RAM. Unless you need it, just unzip the attached file and copy/replace the one in \Program Files. Actually you can also replace the odClientCE.exe in the \Windows folder as well, as reported here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=70561 You'd save 4MB of your RAM...
As reported here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=72139
You can move the help files (.htm) from \Windows directory to storage card, you can save another 1.2MB (Note: only the help files of installed programs can be move not the ones in ROM)
Tip-3: Download the latest Avango Client (www.avantgo.com), which allows to store the Cache contents to storage card (avoid slow Built-in Storage). The default one store it in memory
Tip-4: Use tools such MemMaid, Tweats2k2 to move Pocket Internet Explorer (Temporary Internet File) cache to storage cards. You can do this by modifying Windows Registry too
Tip-4:: Tweaks2k2 allows to move safely shared .dll files to Storage cards :approve:
Hi,
Tried TIP 1 since I thought It will free 12Mb from the main memory, so I moved 'My Documents' to the BIS.
Any how, I can't see any change in the memory usage.
What am I doing wrong ?
BTW it wouldn't let me delete 'My Documents' so it just hanging there with nothing in it.
I think there's something wrong with the tip.
.TSK files are typically located in the \Windows folder not in \My Documents.
Where did you get the 12MB number from?
Anyway, the essence of the tip is that certain files can be moved to BIS as long as you create a folder called "My Documents" and delete the "ignore_my_docs" file.

Just wondering why OZBTWF is not in the list. Personally, I find this utility indispensable specially if you use Bluetooth and Wifi often...
Very handy tool because it switches on/off Wi-Fi/BT automatically, depending on the actve window's caption
Available for download & Instructions here: http://oz.sciox.org/ozbt.html

Because I don't use Bluetooth for anything. SolSie's been kind enough to provide the tweaks for Bluetooth. I have added a General Bluetooth section under which is a link to this app. Thanks for the link SolSie but I went ahead and found the developer's page and linked to it. I believe it's the same developer as OzVGA (probably why it's name begins with OZ as well!).
Thanks for pointing this app out! :approve:
