Just though I'd mention that I did a small update to X50Mix (in case you missed my post in it's discussion). Nothing major just something I noticed some people asking for and wanted myself.
If you have Acrobat PDF Reader installed, have a look in My Documents for "Adobe Reader User Guide.pdf". It's .558M of waste. I figure that if you have a PPC, you've probably been using Acrobat since it was a twinkle in Adobe's eye and have no need for a manual for it on your PPC.
Cheers,
Dobermann

Tip-1: If you play music using WMP10, most of the key mapping don't work except the D-Pad. You can use the center button to map to Screen Toggle function. So you can turn off the "power-hungry" VGA screen...You also can press and hold the power button to turn off the back light as default setting.
Tip-2: Set Power to Auto mode to scale your CPU as needed
Or simply press for about 5 seconds the power button. It works too!
Pressing the power button for 5 seconds doesn't turn the screen off, only the backlight. What Solsie is talking about will actually turn off the screen while still playing your music. This saves a heck of a lot more battery than simply turning off the backlight.

Speaking of shutting off the screen, I use a simple program called Wei's ScreenToggle that I map to my Record button and with one quick press it either turns the display off or on.

Any chance you could take a look at my updates to this? At least I thought they were useful. :)
Great site all. Just got my x51v and have being reading loads of threads to help me get started.
My one problem with the Contacts prog. seems to be an old one - you can't file as Firstname Lastname on the PDA without syncing with MSOL, no good if you're away from your PC, which surely is what PDAs are for?!
There seems to have been a prog. written before which adds a file as option to the Tools menu, but this doesn't work in WM5. I've also seen a reg. hack but the command line referred to again doesn't appear on the Dell.
Does anyone have any updates on this issue? Ideal would be a reg. hack to default Contacts to store Firstname Lastname, but any advice would be great.
OOOSADFACE: Please make this in your list! :approve:
Collected from various posts:
Tip-1: The new Today Themes (especially VGA ones!) are getting larger...(some of them could go up to half of a MB). The tsk files are required to be located in the main memory (\My Documents folder).
You can move them to your Storage Cards: Just create a "\My Documents" folder on your CF or SD, all the files you move there will work as if they are in the main memory "\My Documents" folder.
Make sure to delete a file called ignore_my_documents from your card (if you have it) for this trick to work
Tip-2: The Odyssee Client occupies about 2MB of RAM. Unless you need it, just unzip the attached file and copy/replace the one in \Program Files.
As reported here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=72139
You can move the help files (.htm) from \Windows directory to storage card, you can save another 1.2MB (Note: only the help files of installed programs can be move not the ones in ROM)
Tip-3: Download the latest Avango Client (www.avantgo.com), which allows to store the Cache contents to storage card (avoid slow Built-in Storage). The default one store it in memory
Tip-4: Use tools such MemMaid, Tweats2k2 to move Pocket Internet Explorer (Temporary Internet File) cache to storage cards. You can do this by modifying Windows Registry too
Tip-4:: Tweaks2k2 allows to move safely shared .dll files to Storage cards :approve:
i did tip #1 as stated and copied the "My Documents" folder to the card but it will not work for me(on either my cf or sd cards), and i don't have the "ignore_my_documents" file on them installed, what else could the problem be?
and what is "BIS"? is this another form of storage?

They are hidden and not visible to you. Can you access your SD/CF from your Desktop via Acitivesync? and make sure in your Windows Explorer, tools, option that you select show all files, etc.
