Pocket Backup distorts wallpaper image

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just the way that it is. I have Pocket Backup installed with its Today plugin. The part of the wallpaper image that is below this section of the today screen is distorted. It is not to bad with some images, but with others it totally destroys the image.

I've seen people post their Today screen that had this application and they don't seem to have this problem.

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Just to clarify, the program causing the problem is Pocket Monitor which is the display plugin.
