I have recently upgraded from an h4155 to an X50v, I still have both devices (at least for another day or two).
The MorphGear performance is a little bit better than the h4155 overclocked to 530 MHz. Do not upgrade to the X50v for the sole purpose of increased MorphGear performance, it really isn't that much quicker than the overclocked h4155. The buttons on the X50v are a bit worse than those on the h4155, but not bad to the point that it should prevent you from upgrading. They feel much better than you would expect from looking at pictures of them. They are smaller than the buttons on the h4155 and a bit more spread apart, however they are significantly easier to press which makes up for this for the most part.
Showing photos to people? No brainer. The VGA screen will blow your mind! After I took my new axim out of the box and played with it for a few minutes, I turned my h4155 on and the screen looked like absolute CRAP.
Movie viewing performance is greatly enhanced on the X50v due to a combination of the VGA screen AND the new graphics processor. You can get absurd battery life watching videos beacause the hardware chip does a lot of the work as opposed to software, which is apparently much more efficient.
As far as PIM use goes, this is a two-sided issue. The VGA screen makes it look a lot better and in some situations you can fit more on the screen. HOWEVER, because of this great screen, it is a bit more laggy when navigating through the general operatings system, such as PIM applications.
The X50v is definately bigger and heavier than the h4155, mainly due to the CF slot. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. It still has the same form factor as the h4155, however the increased size and weight isn't going to make it cumbersome to carry around or anything, but it is bigger enough to give it more of a substantial feel.
The h4155 and the X50v are by far the best devices I have ever used, and I have owned about eight different Pocket PCs. Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have about switching from the best pocket pc of the WM2003 generation to the best pocket pc of the WM2003SE VGA generation.
