No connection with async

hi everyone, just got my X50V. Everything seems ok till i installed activesync, it wont recognice my axim.

Pluged my axim to my fron USB, windows found it and installed it.

Instaled Activesync from the CD. When i run it i can see a connection on my PPC but only for a few seconds the its dropped. Async keep trying to find my PPC till and remove it from the cradle then it stopped. Must be some setting on my PPC maybe? Iv tried a soft reset and reinstalled async on my computer.

Iv read about the fried USB ports but my other devices are still working on the same ports.

Need help real bad, want to get started.

Thanx

Patrick

I know the users manual states very strongly that you should install activesync before you connect your axim. It sounds as if you did the opposite. You may need to disconnect everything from your computer and delete the new device. Then load activesync, then hook up axim.

You must install the Dell USB drivers. The Windows drivers will NOT work. If you follow the sequence in the installation process EXACTLY, the drivers will be properly installed for you. What pdahound said should work.
