After ROM upgrade- How to Restore individual items from a backup

After the ROM upgrade I have decided to reinstall the entire set of applications from scratch and then I found out that the files stored in My Documents in Main memory went missing. Fortunately there is an excellent freeware STGViewer, which can browse through most recent .stg (ActiveSync backup file) and restores the files individually.

STGViewer can also see databases but does not restore them, not even as individual files- which is how they are displayed in its window. Each database occupies one folder and consists of a few files.

IS there any other way of restoring selected databases from activesync .stg file- perhaps through some utility or am I out of luck?
