Cool X50V stories, gloating oportunites, bragging rights, etc... POST THEM HERE!
So I'm sitting in class, and I hear this guy behind me start to brag about his new pocket pc, and how it kept track of all his finances for him. He expounded on the virtues of his machine, how it had a neat little flip-cover to protect the screen, could check email wirelessly, and even came with two free games. He continued to gloated over how easy the class would be because of his new little toy.
Supremely impressed, the girls next to him "oohhed" and "ahhhed" over it. He even told them it cost over $800.
I was somewhat suprised but it, because the way he was talking I expected to turn around and see one of the miniature sony palmtops, or something similar. What did he have - an HX4700..
"Wow," I said. "That is pretty cool," I continued, as I pulled out my X50V in it's RhinoSkin Case with the executive keyboard. "That's cool you can check your email..." I proceded to show him the X50V. It plays music, movies, renders 3D games, keeps track of my finances, keeps track of me (with GPS), walks the dog, bakes brownies AND takes out the trash (including an HX4700 [which I owned for a while - then returned to get the X50V]).
He was speechless. "And," I said, "It all cost me just under $400" (thank you Dellf and Concession coupons!)
He didn't say anything else for a while, and the girls weren't as interested in him anymore. It was so nice to bask in the glory of the X50V...
I'm so glad I sent back the HP. I actually think that it was a bit slower in performance compared to the X50V. Hopefully new benchmarks comparing the new X50V ROM to the HP will be out soon.
Anyone else have any cool stories?

HAHAHAHAHA! Man thats too funny. I have run into that a few times. Except it was up against the wimpy rx3115 and older ones. So there was really no comparison there. I do admit though, the bang for the buck really makes the x50v better than the 4700.

Hope that thing is TOUGH!!!!
I have not received my x50v yet, but already have an adventure..
I had to ship my stuff to my sister's address, which is a farm. It came in two shipments..the x50v arrived there, no problem, but the bluetooth keyboard was sent via a different carrier, who just left the box on the front porch. By the time my sister got to it, thier golden lab puppy had pretty much shredded the outer box. All looks good, and when I get it, I will check it out carefully..we shall see how tough that thing really is!!
