Summary of what the ROM update breaks?
I've seen mostly single reports of "XYZ doesn't work" after the ROM update... having been gone all weekened I was easily out of temptations reach on applying this update... wondering what the collective experience is so far. I guess I'm hoping that any reports would have several people seeing the same problem. Are there any confirmed pieces of SW that no longer work?
Thanks,
Mike

Nothing broke per se...
...but reconfiguring everything correctly is a pain in the rear. I still haven't got wireless networking back up again entirely (I had success with one network but am still working on another).
Still, it's been a positive experience for me. I have reinstalled all my apps and then some, and have found a good 10-15 MB of program memory available now that wasn't before. Whether the upgrade is directly responsible or not, I'm glad I went through it just for that.

All my apps installed and running fine(re-installed all apps). I don't really see any extra performance between this updated rom and original rom. No problem using my two new toys (ThinkOutside Stowaway BT keyboard and mouse) with the X50v. I enjoy re-built PPC once a while because PPC OS and Windows OS are still the same craps came from Microsoft, it slow down thru heavy usages, new apps installation, etc. I re-built all my Windows PCs and laptops once a year to clean out all garbages. It alway run better after a re-built.

Zero problems for me. Screen responds better but that's about all I notice. I do like not turning on wireless by mistake.

Reinstalled everything as well, and noticed that the screen response is A LOT faster if you haev programs that only runs in stretched QVGA mode (i.e. Skype). Everything works fine so far.

Not too helpful but...
I agree with the previous poster on network settings. It's a pain in the rear to have to through the set-up process again.
Other than that, everything seems to be working fine. Although I did re-install all my programs from scratch rather than restore a back-up.
Screen refresh rates are noticeably faster with Wisbar Advance and the fact that I'm not switching wifi on everytime I pick it up is a godsend.
Mark.

ROM Update breaks ozVGA.
You can run ozVGA a few times with problems - before it crashes the PPC.
I hate HARD Resets !

Hi Tim,
Have you installed any software that could possibly have caused a (new) conflict with oz_vga and the 02 ROM (possibly the GAPI Tweak or any registry hacks impacting the display)?
I run exclusively with oz_vga (I can't be bothered to have that and se_vga) and haven't encountered any problems yet.
Mark.
