Exclamation Rom Updated Void Warranty??

If I install the Rom update, will I lose my warranty......What are the posible downsides of installing it on my X50mid????

No, warranty is voided in cases where you open it up. For instance, the PPCTechs upgrade to 128 meg.

haha
thats like a car company saying that if you use their branded gasoline in your vehicle you can no longer take it in for service. Worst possible thing is you mess up and you axim dosn't boot. explain the situation and they will send you another. If you follow all the steps exactly you won't have any problems, this means no hubs, might as well not run anything in the background on the pc, make sure to backup the current rom, and don't touch anything during the update. i installed it on my x50~m just fine.

If a separate company were offering the upgraded ROM perhaps a void warranty would be an issue, buit when Dell recommends it, then how could it void the warranty? But just in case I purchased the no hassel insurance warranty.

they say that on the bottom because it is the same fine print for all their updates....including ones NOT from them like MS updates and other 3rd party updates

it does not void your warranty
