*%$& - Close Button not working now...

Now I've done it... I have been using sbp Pocket Plus to modify the close button, and it's been great. Today I installed several new apps, and now the close button doesn't work, at least not when you try to click-hold to get the menu - that disables the close button completely so that it doesn't do anything until a soft reset. It appears to work as a "close" button if you just click on it, but click-hold causes major issues....
I tried several pieces of software today, so I really don't know what broke it. I installed MortCalc, LoanWhiz, T-Day Counter, and others (I don't even remember what all I tried).

Does anyone know of a way to find what caused the problem so I can remove it without removing everything to start over? Better yet, do you know of a way to just fix it? Are there any known problems with the programs that I have listed that would cause this?

I have not tried removing/reinstalling PocketPlus, but I have tried disabling/reenabling the close button portion of PocketPlus.

I hope someone can help... I don't even want to think about the headache of wiping the thing clean and starting over.

I found the problem - but only AFTER a hard reset - Now I gotta reinstall and reconfigure everything...

Anyway - the problem was the background image I was using. I had created my own in Paint Shop Pro - 480x640 .jpg and transferred it to the SD card. Then I used the picture viewer that came with the Axim to set it as the background. I thought that was supposed to work.....

I found a workaround for that. If you view the image off the web with SPB PocketPlus Internet Explorer enhancements and set it as wallpaper it will work. We reported this to SPB a while ago and are still waiting for an updated version. The threads around here somewhere...

Thanks - at least I know it has happened before. I have the Microsoft Theme Generator, and I am going to work with it anyway I think - shouldn't be any problems with it, should there? Using it to create the theme, and the theme swither that is already on the Axim - I think it was installed with pocketplus.

YOu can switch themes using the default Today Applet In Settings. I don't know if there's an automatic switcher that works. I just change mine when the mood strikes me, which isn't all that often.
