Problem w/ power mgmt when on external power

Hello:

I bought a new X50V and just updated to new ROM A02. One problem:

When I select to turn off device when "on external power" after 5 minutes, it does not turn off eventhough the device is on cradle attach to power and has active connection to PC via ActiveSync.

Can someone help me. Did I do something wrong? I test to see the "on battery power" function works by taking the device out of the cradle and it did work.

Thank you to each and everyone

I just tested my own X50v and found that when the device is in the cradle and connected to my PC via ActiveSync, it will not power off after a designated period of time. However, when connected ONLY to an external power source (e.g., battery extender) WITHOUT being in the cradle, it DID power off. It seems to me that the connection to the PC is keeping the device on.

Glad you posted that Gigi. Not had that problem, though I do stop the connection when I am done syncing by wifi. This will be good to know for down the road.

See, I have been here a while and I still get to learn new things. :)

The PC does keep the connection alive...it also seems to start it again sometimes if you have your device in the cradle turned off lol

but that is the same on my X5 as well :)
