streaming music from Network PC

Hi folks, not got my x50v yet, hopefuly soon, however on my old x5 I used to connect to a shared directory on my dektop Pc to stream music. The problem on the old x5 was that if your shared music directory was greater than a couple of GIG Wmp9 would take 10minutes to open. has anybody noticed if this happens on the x50v and wmp10 ??

have not tried yet, i usually use windows media encoder 9series to stream the music over....if anything there are some pocket itunes programs that work well to stream from itunes

and if you dont have itunes, you can download it for free and just import your music for use when streaming to your ppc :) thats what i did and that also works well if you want to select songs

sorry i have not tried wmp10 and opening songs from a folder over the network yet

ye used window media enconder along with vinyl to stream & control music from the pc also, but Im talking about using wmp9 or wmp10 to connect directly to network folders and play

no problem, i am hoping soon that i will have some time to try this out as many have been asking about streaming/playing music to their pda lately :)
