is there such a thing as an Axim/ppc emu?

just wandering - when i had my palm - i would run progs on my palm first to see how they worked before installing it... i was wandering if there was a simlar thing for PPC?

all searchs i make turn up actual emus for the ppc...

If you install the MS PPC development environment and buy (I think) the VC++4.0 stuff, you get an emu that'll run on a PC.... or so I was told. I run a desktop Mac running VirtualPC (an emu), and supposedly MS used the same emu technology to to the PPC emu, but that part will not run within the VPC emu....

Not sure if you can load other proggy's on to it, or just use it to run the ones you are compiling within the dev env.

This is correct, you can only run programs compiled for the emulator x86. Which means you can pretty much only use the emulator for apps you are developing.

Programs released on the internet will not work on the emulator, unless the developer has released an x86 version. which is highly unlikely.
