Nah - that wouldn't affect anything. I'm in work - so no time to play :)

More memory may help, as will using a map that isn't so texture heavy.

Mark.

what fps are you guys getting? my fps when monsters are active are definitely below 10 at any given point. The engine might be nice, but it's unplayable even on a powerful device like the X50v

that's my point, as soon as you see a monster controls go to hell :/
I even put all details on lowest, which didn't seem to make any difference at all.

Does the Dell Axim X50V come with OpenGL* ES 1.0 Common-Lite standard or is this something that needs to be downloaded?

Well, read the help file. Here's why your frame rate sucks with monsters:

Minimum System Requirements:
624Mhz Intel(R) XScale(R) processor
Intel(R) 2700G Multimedia Accelerator
Microsoft* Windows Mobile* 2003 Second Edition
64Mb RAM minimum, 128Mb for single player with monsters
OpenGL* ES 1.0 Common-Lite

Is that FPS meter working, after playing with the tweaks on the menu it seemed a little faster but the fps rate stayed the same.

ya

It looks great but definiately needs some tuning to make it playable. Yeti doesn even run near as slow with tons of monsters on the screen. Its just your basic port over. Oh well lets see what people do with the source. i dont think its the axim power i just think the port is kinda poor. Also has anyone tried this with a clean hard reset to see if it runs better with more memory?

its not our low memory that makes it lag its unpotimized code!
i agree with IM0001, it just needs some tweaking and then it'll run silkysmooth(tm) hehe.
