Dell Charged Me For a Cancelled Order.

I cancelled my order on the 1st of February and got my x50v from expansys. I checked my bank staement today and saw that Dell had taken payment for my cancelled order and as I am in overdraft my bank chaged me £25.

I called Dell and was told to call on Monday.

Does anyone know any Dell phone numbers that would be usefull for me to call to get a refund?

There could be 2 explanations:

1. Your order has already shipped and you cancelled too late.
2. They took the cash out of your account before shipping (which they shouldn't do) and will credit back once the cancelled order goes through their system. However you should still call them up because of the 25-pound overdraft charge.

I was told not to expect my order until March so I cancelled. It was cancelled by an Indian woman. I called Dell a few days after cancelling and was told by an Irish guy that if I cancelled my order then its cancelled. The systems may take a few days updating.
All this was over a week ago.

mate i would send dell a letter explaining the situation. before this make sure you write down any and all dates of correspondence with dell (when phoned and cancelled etc) in the letter ask them to reimburse you the 25 if not go down the county court and fill out a small claims form and have the court send it to their address in bracknell.
long story short it will cost you a bit in the beginning but you will get all your costs paid and reimbursement for that 25 (maybe extra also depending on other factors!!), oh by the way tell dell that is the action you will take in the letter as well if they don't get back to you with the 25.

I ordered a laptop from Dell the other day and they shipped it before I had a chance to cancel it. I contacted Dell through Dell chat and they gave me a refusal number and told me to just refuse the package once it got here. I'm sure they would do the same for you. Good luck!

I can't offer any other advice than the above posts, but you have my sympathy. I've seen Dell do random things- recently I had a BT keyboard break and they were very accomodating. They set up an order to replace it, but (here comes the random) cancelled it, said it would ship 3 days ago but still list it as 'in production'. Well, I guess I can offer some advice: take the advice above and don't back down. Dell can be odd but willing to fix problems- stay on top of it, document with whom you speak, the time, and what was said. Good luck :)

Kidiauk I also bought my X50v from Expansys last December as did not want to wait via Dell UK as I wanted an X50v the next day. One thing to note your don't get the Dell 3D Games CD (Stuntcar Extreme and Enigmo) due to being an OEM box supplied X50v. But that is the only thing missing out the box compared to Dell UK supplied ones.

Stay on them.. I cancelled an order like that and it took me 62 days to get credit on my Visa account.
After 30 days and no Credit I was on the phone with them each week complaining. I love my Axim but
their support sucks bigtime, in my humble opinion.
