I'm almost certain that Dell uses Broadcomm chipset in the x50v bcz' Dell have some sort of relationship with Broadcomm just like it does with Intel.Dell gets special discounts from them in return for not using chips from other manufacturers. And the savings get passed down to us Dell buyers.
