Problems with Microsoft Reader 2.3
I have the following problem with Microsoft Reader (newest version, 2.3) on my X50v:
From soft reset, I start Reader. After opening a book and starting to read, any stylus clicks that I try register at a COMPLETELY different point on the screen. This is in stock un-modified not-true-VGA (i.e. no SE_VGA nor OZ VGA). Pocket IE seems fine (besides some image scroll tearing issues) -- the stylus clicks register at the proper positions.
When I turn on SE_VGA's "true-VGA" mode, Reader behaves perfectly. However, this makes a dozen built-in applications draw to the screen improperly.
What's the deal? Can't I use ALL of my apps in one mode OR the other (I can handle if some don't work in true VGA if they ALL worked in stock semi-VGA).
Do any hacks for the X50v attempt to solve this? There's nothing I can find for Reader that solves this issue.
Upon further experimentation, it seems that the (X,Y) coordinates of the stylus are getting multiplied by 2 when in stock VGA (a 240x480 -to- 480x640 scale transform). Seems like a simple enough bug to fix if it's specific to Reader's code itself.
