Cradle internet passthrough problem (no dns)

I have configured activesync to allow internet passthrough. I tried and tried to get my x50v to connect, but I kept getting "page not found" Then I read somewhere to try the IP address. So, I tried the IP address for yahoo.com and it worked. For some reason I can surf using IP addresses with internet passthrough, but not the URL. Any ideas how I can configure a DNS for internet passthrough in the cradle?

Do you have PassThrough configured for work or internet?

I have tried work and internet with the activesync passthrough under options-rules. Same issue only IP, no URL.

If you're using dialup the net has to be on first. Or you can turn it on when the popups start. If you were using cable it would be always on.

I am at work and have a constant internet connection. I actually found a free proxy server online and entered it into the connections tab. That worked. By using the proxy I guess it found a DNS, so pocketweather can get its data while in the cradle. I wish there was a better solution than a proxy though.
